but dudek is right though, even if he did play ****, it IS hard to come in and do well after ages on the bench, especially for players in positions where confidence is key - striker and goalies.

it doesnt necessarily mean he places some blame on Rafa, it can just be stating the fact that it is hard to come in and do well after so long.

Why isnt the goalkeeper who plays the reserves games the one on the bench?

Read between the lines. Why does Dudek even mention it? Rafa went out on a limb and played him. A real man would have thanked Rafa and apologised for his performance and thats it. Blaming lack of game time is a pop at Rafa.

The comments were disappointing from Jerzy....perhaps they lost something in translation.....

well, like I said, it doesn't have to be a pop, but I agree it could be.

I would like to read said sentance in its proper context though....not just journostyle quotes

When I read them earlier today it looked like they had been translated.

If not then the journo must have a mental age of about 10 the manner in which the story was written....

                    But I take your point.....

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers and you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee. Jerzy got himself suspended when he got sent off in the reserve derby. That made him miss the Reading game in the League Cup. Whose fault was that Jerzy?

                          His comments were very disappointing.

Sometimes you just have to hold your hands up, take responsibility and admit your mistakes.

I don't think he is necesearily having a pop, but more looking for a way out of blaming himself for his **** performance, and the lack of games one is an easy excuse.

To be honest he's right in the sense that Rafa shouldn't have played such a **** goalkeeper. Dudek has, however, been pretty much mistreated by the club and for his own (and the club's) sake should have been sold on last summer. I don't understand why Rafa has been messing around here.

                                Mistreated?

He's not better than Reina thus doesn't play ahead of him ... how is that mistreating him ?

And I'd love to be "mistreated" for 30k a week.
