I agree. What I was implying is I don't see us having gained any significant benefits to our league position by having rested those players anyway. Already out of the FA cup and with the next CL game some time away, it was unnecessary. If it was because the competition didn't matter then why play any important players at all? If we're going to get important players injured we may as well try and win the ****ing thing while we're at it.Like blood on iron

The only other really skillful attacking player we have is Kewell and he is also injured.
El Zhar hasn't got a chance to show us what he can do yet.
We will miss Luis and Rafa must bring in someone in January with his style of play if we want to knock Barca out.
We are to easy to find out without him.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

very true, we are a very predictable side...Originally posted by AFII View PostThe only other really skillful attacking player we have is Kewell and he is also injured.

I am sorry to see any Liverpool player get any type of injury but I don't think we will miss Garcia that much. People talk about him being an important or big game player, bull****, we need players for every game. He has been very poor this season. Continuously gave the ball away. I hope that maybe we can bring in somebody in place of him that will give 100% every game or maybe Gonzalez will step up to the mat at last.Did you see the size off those chickens?

I actually think that with a win against Chelsea next week we can be pushin for second not third, with the news Terry will not be playing this should be our best chance of beating them in the league, there is an unfortunate side affect to this of course............08-09 Dirk monitor
5 goals (target 15)
3 assists also........

I'll go against the flow with the majority on here and say personally I believe we'll miss lil' Luis greatly, especially in European competition.
As has already been mentioned by a fellow backer of Garcia, he offers that unpredictability that no other in our squad offers, and has the nack of scoring those crucial goals in the big games - playing against Barca with Garcia in the team could have unsettled them, but we can be a bit structured and one-dimentional at times so I hope that not having him available to us won't be the difference between success and failure.
Garcia can play on the right, on the left and also in a support striker role, so he offers many options despite his nack of giving the ball away too easily and too often, and he WILL be missed greaty in my opinion. Every successful team needs a player that can do the unthinkable, and Garcia tries too many tricks at times, but when they come off it makes the difference.
I, for one, will miss his unpredictability as the season goes on, and hope it will still be a success even though our 'trump card' in the big games will be missing, and the call be someone on here to find a suitable replacement in the transfer window isn't such a bad one, but the problem is who should we try to go for?

I want him gone in the summer, more cons than pros with the lad.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostSure we'll miss him for the 'big games'. He CAN be a special player.
But to be honest, after a superb first season, he hasn't improved in the way I had hoped and goes full games offering little or nothing productive.
I'd listen to offers for him in the summer."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

We'd do well to get that amount for him, he's just too damn frustrating for my liking is Luis.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostI dont 'want' him gone.
But if someone offered six or seven million for the lad, I'd consider it.
Honestly he was one of my favourite players in his 1st even though he frustrated the life out of me but i put it down to him adapting
to the English style of play.
The next season he still hadn't learnt his lesson in keeping the ball, knowing when/when not to do the aul tricks/flicks, it's bang amateurish it really is
and i can't believe the vast majority of Lpool fans put up with his style of play.
