Me & my mate said the same thing. It's almost a way of shoe-horning our best eleven players into the side. All three strikers, Gerrard & Alonso bossing things in the middle, solid down the sides and Aurelio who, in his proper position (it's a wing-back role really, even if it is called 3-4-3), looks a different proposition altogether.

I thought Finnan was immense today. Excellent going forward and realiable as ever at the back.
I don't think 3-4-3 is a good idea against the chavs. They are a much superior team to Watford. They like to attack from the wings and if we don't cover on the flanks, we'll be ****ed.
Massive game next week. Lets hope Rafa can win his 1st league game against Chelski.

Bellamy had an excellent game IMO.

worked hard as did Kuyt.We looked so so for the first 20mins but we were not helped by a **** pitch.
Watford though are woeful and deserve to be bottom,in fact relegate them now to put them out of their misery.

I'd like to us play this formation a bit more often as it suits the players we've got, particularly when Momo is fit. we can play all our 3 central midfielders in positions they are comfortable with. Same applies to Aurelio & JAR. Both are basically wing backs. Thats why aurelio's signing puzzled me, even though he was on a free. He's a wing back but we don't play a system with wing backs in it.
