    Bellamy needs to shoot more

I think that Bellamy lays the ball off far too much, obviously this is what Rafa wants but i would like to see him skin a defender or shoot on the turn every once in a while, thoughts?

I think he's doing just fine at the moment. He shoots when he has a good opportunity but if he thinks a team mate is in a better position, he'll pass.

Spot on. He's very un-selfish and is a fantastic player. I think we should thank Mark Hughes for literally sorting him out and helping him to calm his "inner self" and hence bring out his true potential and also thank Blackburn for putting that dumb clause in his contract! He's worth at least £10- 12 million.

He can beat players and rarely gets tackled when doing so, he's not afraid to run at defenders, he has a fantastic cross and he has a good finish. I really am looking forward to seeing him playing against Chelsea next week.

I think he could be a little more selfish at times, he is better at shooting than what we have seen, that certainly was the case at blackburn, alot of his goals came with defenders between himself and goal and from distance. He has quite a good shot on him.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

        * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

However you want to deal with it mate, that's fine by us. Other people might suggest there's a contradiction there but who cares what label you use for yourself, it's an entirely private matter.

I was opposed to his signing at first simply because I thought that he'd offer very little to the team on the field and cause a few disruptions off it. I have to admit though at this stage he's doing better than I ever thought he would. He's making more intelligent runs than he used to and as a result isn't getting caught offside as much and his unselfishness is one of the things that has improved my opinion of him. His lay off for Crouch' 2nd goal today was excellent as was his later lay off to Stevie, which in fairness Gerrard should have done alot better with. He shoots when he knows that he can at least make the keeper work and passes when he can't so that's good IMHO. No point shooting just for the sake of it.

I agree, I thought he played very intelligently today, good decision-making.

Can you imagine what a fit Fowler of 10 years ago might have accomplished playing in todays' formation instead of Crouch?

He would have thrived on what Bellamy & Kuyt bring to the table.

His cheeky lob when he got caught offside was class aswell. If that had counted it would have been contender for goal of the monh.

that's why we need a goal scorer, poacher.

Today we need 3 forwards to show what 2 including a poacher could do.

Always undicided re Bellers but today he worked hard and linked up well. But with that pace there should be more shoots on goal
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Bellamy is too unselfish. I think with more confidence he could be more selfish and take more chances at goal
