Thinking about another famous rotund footballer who recently passed away, he could become the new Ferenc Puskas, who, to quote wikipedia, "at the age of 31 embarked on the second phase of his remarkable career".

I know it's dreamland, but sometimes it's nice to let your imagination run wild with impossibilities.

ronaldo isnt finished i think he still has something left he is only 30 not 40, he has lost quite a bit of the weight he had in the world cup! definitley the best player of my lifetime along with zidane.
I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.

The guy will not get 'fit' again. He cannot do it.

There probably aren't enough burger bars in Liverpool to keep his hunger satisfied either.

He has agreed a deal with Milan.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I don't think his ego let alone his beer belly could fit through the Shankly gates. Quite a few years ago he was the best striker in the world - I can't say having 6 managers in 3 years have helped him either.

Also Real won't loan their big name players.

                    Oh, I agree.
Raul would be thrashed over here.

Unsettled Real Madrid striker Ronaldo is being linked with a shock move to Liverpool.

DiarioSport says Ronaldo, who is desperate to quit Real, is a favourite of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, whose company, Dubai International Capital, is on the verge of completing a £450 million takeover of Liverpool.

Sheikh Mohammed wants to celebrate the buy-out by delivering Ronaldo to Liverpool fans before the end of this month's market. With the Brazilian not Cup-tied from the Champions League, DIC chiefs are convinced Ronaldo's signing would boost the club's last chance of winning a trophy this season.
