Meeting Rick Parry

Just got back from stag do in prague so bare with me as I'm ****ed.

You may or may not of seen my post in the friendlies thread that I met Rick Parry on sat morning at manchester airport.

Firstly I was only able to post it there as I was online on my mobile and was unable to to start a new thread

Secondly, he didn't say anything groundbreaking, so if you disagree or think I'm talking **** tough. As far as I'm aware I'm the only person on this site who has met Parry recently and think it's only fair to share/post about it.

Anyway, We were walking through terminal 1 when I spotted Rick Parry having a drink and writing into a note book. Two of mates didn't think it was him, so one of them went and asked him, he started to laugh and said yes and my mate asked for a photo which we took on my mates phone.

I then asked him whether or not we would be signing Dirk Kuyt. He had a big smile on his face and said maybe. I said is that a yes or no then, and he said we were doing what we could to have it finalised this week.

My mate then asked about the new stadium, he didn't seem to pleased with this question and said it was a long way away yet and there is still a lot to sort out. We then shook hands and left as we had to check in.

Good news on the Kuyt thing.

No surprises on the stadium. I guess he gets a lot of flak on that subject.

Thanks for the info, PTP. I really rate Kuijt as I watched him closely in the Dutch league for years. I think he's a "Rafa type of player" (selfless and works hard) so I hope we sign him soon.

What was his tie like?

I can't remember if he had a tie on(don't think he did) but he was wearing a dodgy white blazer, it honestly looked like the famous cup final suit against man U. Thats how I first spotted him because I was about to take the piss out of his jacket when I realised it was him

normally if parry has a tie on you notice!!! seen some lovely bright numbers in the past!
