They're getting linked with a possible swap deal for Darren Bent. WH obviously dont want him, so i reckon we could pounce and try and sign them both for a very small fee as squad cover. This would also put a spanner in the works of the Bent - West Ham deal, thus we could sign Darren as well, killing two birds with one stone.

NB: I don't think these players are world players (Darren Bent will be one day), i think they would add depth to the squad and make us genuine challengers next year.

Spot on. Anyway we dont need any more strikers or central midfielders for cover. Don't understand why people are saying this. What we need to address first is the positions where we don't have any/ or sufficient players. i.e. A new right winger and an out and out 18 yard box striker.

Central Midfield players (or players that can play in midfield as cover) we currently have:

Steven Gerrard
Momo Sissoko
Alonso
Zenden
Riise
Fabio Aurelio
Carragher
Agger
Not to forget Diao (God forbid if we need to call upon this man)

If you ask me thats a lot of players who can be called upon if needs for 2 midfield positions.

The west ham players no offence to them, if they aint good enough for the hammers, then they aint even good enough for our reserves. Liverpool are tryning to ballance their books, not add more needless players to the payroll!

As far as I can see there's never been any credible link whatsoever between lfc and either of the players mentioned in this thread, nor will there be. Therefore it has nothing to do with lfc, and as such has no real place in this lfc forum.
