we're going to be like man u spend big buck for big players. we used to do that pack in the days aswell, kenny was a record fee if i remember corectly...Originally posted by Marky18 View PostNah man, if and flippin when the DIC takeover the Club i can't imagine they'll be giving Rafa funds left, right and centre to improve the team ala Roman Abramovic who is a wealthy fcuker, also Parry said the DIC Consortium were eager to respect the Club's values ie not buy our way to success.
Different kettle of fish altogether mate, we do need some bucks though to bring in a few world class palyers, it has to be done."I have decided to escape, to defy the shogun. Today I will begin walking the road to hell. But you will choose your own path. So, soon you may be seeing heaven. Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

If were to spend £200m on new players in one window then, yeah, after the inital high of winning the title had worn off it would lessen the enjoyment. However this will not happen and if this take over means that Rafa can buy one or two £20m then I'm all for it.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

It doesn't matter anyway.
.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I have got bit off them already to which I reply with "5" and I then repeat till bored.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostAre you prepared for the backlash from (jealous) fans of other clubs? Are you prepared for, in the event of us winning number 19, being dismissed as having “bought the title” (they said the same when Kenny’s team won it anyway!)? What will you say to those people?
Have you started getting any stick from jealous mates? I have. Cries of “hypocrites!” and “you sold your soul to Dubai!” have already started flying my way in this office here in ****house Manchester. It makes me laugh. One United fan here at work has been going on all morning “we were self-made millionaires cos our fame and hugeness brought us profit – you *******s have had to travel the world cap in hand, begging for money off anyone who’ll listen”. :whatever: I’m sure this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Have these other fans got a point? I’m celebrating this deal with a tinge of sadness, but my overriding feeling is one of joy and excitement. This is thread for all things ‘backlash’ and all things negative about the deal.
I'm the best there is at what I do, but what I do best, isn't very nice

Jesus Christ I have had it loads this season off the bitters.
"60 Mill on ****e and you still can not beat any of the big sides.""3-6 fact most enjoyed by me, worst result for nearly 100 years, great season!""The 2nd biggest spenders in europe in the last 2 years and lets be honest a million miles away from the best in england let alone europe. The theatre of silence again"It makes me laugh and I reply mearly to wined them up even more."Oh well it looks as though your season over, Barca to come. Another 30 mil wasted. Shame"
So far I have nothing off them about the take over but no doubt that will come.
Go **** yourself

If we can't take it, we shouldn't give it.
I've give it plenty in the past, I expect plenty back in the near future.
It's all give & take and only banter.
My only wish is that none of us had gone down that route in the first place, but we are where we are and we just have to deal with it, warts and all, and it was the only way to maintain our competitiveness at the top table.

Usually the league winners are the biggest spenders anyway. I see nothing new in the fact that we would have been financed from abroad when we win no.19. Aren't Chelsea with Roman, Manure with the Glazers, and Arsenal with the Emirates?
It's just that the money is coming from abroad now whereas when the PL started it came from people like Jack Walker.

I have no defence against people attacking us for the Dubai deal. The state of football today, more a business than a sport, depresses the hell out of me. Selling our arses to dodgy businessmen from Dubai makes me feel sick. Having to resort to defensive responses like "Yeah, well you did it first" and "You've got to go this way to compete" is lame and not something I've been doing or will do. I'll never stop loving Liverpool and I'll be thrilled to see more trophies come our way, but the whole thing is a lot hollower than what I fell in love with as a kid.
