    Atletico want Garcia.

Atletico Madrid were hoping to sign Liverpool's Luis Garcia in January, before his serious knee injury.

The Spain striker is out for the rest of the season after injuring a cruciate ligament during the Carlling Cup humbling by Arsenal last week.

But before that Madrid's lesser-known team were hoping to take Garcia away from Anfield.

AS claims that Atletico have made enquiries about his availability, but have been knocked back by Liverpool.

The paper claims the situation could change in the summer, and meanwhile Atletico have been quoted a price of 20 million Euros for Benfica wide man Simao.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I would have done a straight swap for Aguero as well.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

                  I dont know about that.
Id say he is 75% in favour of staying at Liverpool, he loves the club, no doubt, but he is aware that he is not everyones cup of tea.

He would only leave if Rafa told him to go.

He said a few months ago that Rafa is his manager and he wouldn't betray him.

I would never sell Garcia. Yes he makes a few mistakes, but this is the guy for big occasions! And every top club needs a footballer like that. So as far as I'm concerned, Atletico can kiss me arse!

This year, Garcia has produced few of his previous seasons 'moments of magic'. He has produced important goals in the past but his weak points are too much outweighing his strong these days.

If a decent offer came in for him, I think the club would sell him in a flash. He just doesnt cut it in the premiership, and the odd moment of class cannot justify his place in the team.

Yeah I agree. Although I would keep him for his unpredictability as part of a squad.
