    Petr cech's helmet!

all respect to the guy for coming through what could have been a career threatening injury, but forgive me for being cynical but if he does play with a safety helmet then surely he is not 100% fit or his he! and the helmet is just another scam by Chelsea to ensure that Liverpool players pull out of 50/50 challenges with the goalkeeper, and every challenge will lead to eleven chavs surrounding the ref with protest, i seriously think this will be an unfair advantage to the chavs and one they have seriously considered.forgive my conspiracy theory view but thats what i believe so there!.

Sadaam was not hanged either, he was standing on a box and a big fella stood in the way so no one could see.

....but yeah, I can see chavski using it to their advantage.

He has said himself that he is ready to face any challenge with his opponents so helmet or not, lets give him a game. And you are probably wright, they will put pressure on the ref, they always do.

And in true Rafa style lets not worry about the ref but the game.

Rubbish... I'd see that as a sign of weakness.

I'd be right in there. If i was tall enough to seriously challenge Cech that is.

A pep-talk by Rafa should sort that out.

If he's brave enough to step onto the football field, and all credit to him for that, then it's no holds barred as usual, providing of course that all challenges are legal and not malicious.

I just hope that whatever transpires, he doesn't suffer a serious injury by just wanting to play football.

i agree but can you honestly see a Liverpool player seriously threatening a man that will be the hero of the day, if a player was brave enough and he did injure cech to the same degree he would be lambasted by the media.its a conspiracy i tell you.

I've never thought of it that way but I still think that we should be quite aggressive with Cech from the offset (with in the rules of the game of course) when the chance presents itself. Lets see how confident he is in his fitness. If we can rattle him early it might upset a few people but it will definitely plant the seeds of doubt in Cech's mind and could work in our favour.

i find it had to believe he's completely healed, I think he's an idiot for going out there if he has to have protection. It's one thing for example with Aggers broken hand, but it's entirely different with a head injury.

Well, momo did the same thing though. He went out there with protective glasses on... they fogged up; he took them off, and scared me half to death something bad would happen to him again.

I think Cech is completely healed. If he's not he's stupider than I thought and his medical stuff should be shot.. The protection is just extra security, maybe a bit of physological protection for him.

I think we should go into challenges as long as it's legal, and treat him as just another player but I bet you anything good old Rob Stiles is going to cut him a lot of slack and we are going to get called for lots. Poor Peter. he is going to be targetted I bet

if he steps out onto the pitch, he has to be prepared to be challenged when the balls in the air. Crouch will defo play IMO.

i just hope the ref doesnt "go easy" on him. Terry isnt playing either, so the leader of the "lets all gang up on the ref , so he changes his mind" gang wont be there.
