Unfortunately some people cannot enjoy postives, and in all walks of life there are gob****es.

OK with a Transfer budget of 25 mill for this year (you would have to add £7m for Crouch from last year's budget, as he ws bought last year) = £32m

With what money we had on the table and on the books I would have done the following:

Bought RVN for £10m when available, or Owen for £16m
Bought Kuyt for £10m
Kept Cisse
Played Garcia as 4th striker
Added a cheaper younger striker to the books, or gone for a proven goalscorer such as Klose with a reasonable buy-out clause (which would be less than £12m)

that's reasonable. And far more consistent goals potential than we currently have in the squad.

So you'd not have signed a right midfielder Pennant or otherwise, Crouch being last season is irrelevant as his fee is in that £25 million. At least you tried to respond intelligently, and i agree on RVN i would have tried to sign him although i dont think for one minute he would have come.
Ironic you should use another "moron" scapegoat in Garcia as your fourth choice striker as a lot of people say he "isnt good enough for LFC".

When asked for a reasoned argument you resort to insults, you don't know me either but see fit to call me "moron" "Tony Blair?" what shortcomings are they? he is a good finisher, he has pace, he has skill, he has desire, he has passion.

Newcastle were challenging for the title when he was there, and he was one of there best players, did you only just start watching the league last season? your a gob****e mate....accept it.

he has pace- yes he does (good quailty but not enough on its own)

he has skill - does he? If he can beat a man so easily why does he get caught offside so often?

he has desire, he has passion - so do a lot of players - (e.g. Cisse - look where he is?) Not enough to succeed as a TOP goalscorer.

Shortcomings: not a top goalscorer, history of being a trouble-maker , dodgy knees, constant whingeing at the linesmen

As for when I started wtaching Liverpool..well let me just say I've seen enough good Liverpool strikers to know the current bunch aren't good enough.

Oh and as for Newcastle challenging for the league title - I think you'll find that was under Kevin Keegan.

Don't make me laugh. Look at Bellamy's goal stats before you start about winning / losing arguements. Bellamy is NOT a top goalscorer - he never has been, wherever he's played. The facts show this. He's had 1 good season in the Prem last season at Blackburn and now he's back to 1 goal every 3 games or so. So don't try and tell me any different. Add the other shortcomings he has a player, and it all adds up to him not being good enough for LFC. Maybe for other clubs (Norwich, Celtic, Blackburn etc.) but not for mine. There's a huge difference in class beteen being good enough for LFC and good enough for some 2nd rate outfit.

If we only judged players on stats then we would be better getting our transfer targets from OPTA. My mate is a geordie and he is adamant that Bellmay prolonged Shearers career by doing all his running and setting up plenty of his goals too. So, you have taken 1 stat and then said add the other shortcomings...go on then tell us what they are.
