So, you're basically saying that having a fcukin dreadful pre-season, and getting thumped 5-0 on our last outing will play to our advantage?

No I'm not saying that at all, I'm saying that pre season means **** all as managers try different things and integrate new players whilst the players themselve try to avoid injury. I'm not worried about our pre season form - friendlies mean jack ****.

        bizaare statement

returning to normality, of course we will qualify for the champions league. i think we will hammer them at anfield which means we can go to th away leg with a weakened team if necessary.

Haifa are pretty poor and we are pretty damn good. forget about pre season, that was a fitness exercise.none of them want to play in the worthless UEFA cup.

i am looking forward to the game myself, should be a belter, pennant and bellamy will be really up for it in their first game at anfield

Personnally I think we'll win every game we go into, otherwise whats the point of supporting a team if you don't think that?

Regardless of whether I've been optimistic or pessimistic in the run-up to a game, come kick off I am always convinced we will win.

I don't like to listen to these feelings, but I'm not feeling confident either.

I think it will be a tough tie, we will make hard work of it but squek through over both legs.

I think the proposed protest outside the ground could be all the teamtalk that Haifia need to get them to play a notch or two above their level.

I just posted this on another site - I'm not confident at all about the game tomorrow night - we could be buying tickets for the final of the UEFA cup in Hampden park

I personally think we will get throught reasonably comfortably. We will be under pressure as the opponents will for obvious resons be eagar to put on a good display. However i think our experience, class, the likes of bellamy eager to impress will see us through.

If we dont win comfortably we only deserve the UEFA cup and the brickbats that follow.

Yes it would be nice to see Crouch register his first ever goal in European competition.

He's going to skin three players, then flick the ball high into the air before launching himself into a spinning bird kick and firing it into the top corner.

In today's echo rafa says he got a shock from haifa's vist ti valencia (nil Nil draw) so he's taking no chances. He recognises that some of their players are now more experienced and that the lads will have to be up for it.

                                I think we'll be alright a scrappy 2 - 0 win, but that's enough.
