All time 11 - LFC team of the decades

Following up on the Souey thread, lfc4ever suggested a thread down memory lane.

So, who will be in your all time 11?

    Here is mine.

    Clemence,
    Neal, Hansen, Smith, Hughes
    Callaghan, Souness, Gerrard, Kennedy
    Dalglish, Rush

    Subs:
    Phil Thompson, McDermott, Heighway, Keegan

Old times will surely vouch for Yeats, Lawler, Peter Thompson and Liddell too.
I guess this is the time to show you age

    Edit:
    We could have a team of the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s.

And then of course an all time LFC 11.

It's "your" team mate, you state your best 11.

And I think something was lost, I was hoping for posters teams of the decades followed by your best team you would like to see take the pitch today, dont wish to turn it into a slanging match of who is and who isn't in a posters team.

Well, there are many to pick from mate.
That midfield is brimming with quality.

I'm not turning it into anything. I was just seeing if he had missed out Barnes.

It is hard picking a best LFC XI, not criticising anyone.

I did consider Barnes, and even, Heighway for left mid.

** Of players I have seen - I know Billy Liddell should be in there somewhere**
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

                  :whatever: Cheyrou on the right?

There's a world cup winner, a champions league winner and an african player of the year in that lot

Can't believe you missed out Paul Stewart and Jean Michel Ferri, not to mention Jimmy Carter and Julian Dicks.
