Think we are realistically too far behind which is a shame. Paying the price for a bad start to the campaign. I think Rafa will learn a valuable lesson tho. Start the season with your strongest team and build points and confidence and then start rotating and resting players. We can catch Chelsea though and 2nd spot is an improvement on last season aswell as no CL qualifiers which can only be a positive thing.
    Dare we believe

I don't think Rafa will change at all.

The unlucky part about the start of the season was that while we were trying to find our feet, we had our 5 toughest away games in a row. If there had been a few easier games at that stage we could have scrapped a few results early on, but in those 5 matches we played there really was no room for error. It was the fact that our main players were off form, rather than any rotation that led us to lose those games.

I'm convinced that if the matches against Bolton and Everton were at this stage of the proceedings we would be in second place.

Costing us the league, i presume. We dont rotate half as much now, look how we're doing.

Yes we do. We "rotate" just as much as we have done all season. The players are just fitter than players from most other clubs.

We are still paying for our slow start. If we had picked up more points from our first 7 matches we would be top by now.
Since Rafa joined us have had slow starts then picked up around Nov/Dec.
Next season we have to start better to have any chance of winning #19.
Credit to the gaffer he has always fixed things when it went tits up.
