    Rotation and Zonal Marking

Two of the media's tiresome pet subjects regarding our team, the other being about SG playing through the middle or on the right.

Cup games apart, 11 wins from 12, conceding just one goal. I can't remember the last time these subjects were mentioned by anyone with regards to league form. Things are clearly going well at the moment. But rather than praise Rafa's tactics, isn't it odd that they are only mentioned when things aren't going so well.

I fully expect that when Momo is fit,and SG moves to the right, he will continue his good form, and the team will keep will winning. I think people will stop banging on about that too.

Just goes to show how little a lot of these pundits know about what they are talking about.
    Oh I don't know.

Most pundits know as much about football as I know about cars - yet they get paid handsomely to go on national TV to talk about it. It's bizarre. If I went on Max Power Petrolhead Weekly...or Top Gear or whatever it's called, I'd look a prize c*nt cos I know NOTHING about cars.

These football pundits look prize c*nts, too.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

They had Tony Cascarino on SSN the other day, live from some poxy conservatory literally shouting at the interviewer regarding just how rubbish Chelsea were/are. Totally crap.

Just because they were once footballers, it doesn't mean they know anything about it. I've been in a car about a million times - so what? I'd never go on Top Gear.

I think they should employ specialist pundits - articulate, insightful individuals who know what they're talking about....not thick, bumbling ex-pros who can't string a sentence together.

Indeed. The sheer number of them on SSN has sprouted a whole industry. There are very few that speak our language coherently, let alone add any insight with what they are saying.

The thing is, the football media as a whole jumped onto the rotation / zonal marking bandwagon. Jounralists and commentators that really should know better.

Every time a goal is conceded from a corner (not very often I night add), zonal marking gets the blame. Across the premiership, countless goals are conceded from corners, but the man to man marking system is never the fault (the excecution of it maybe, but not the system itself).

Similarly, Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea heavily rotate their teams, but not to the extent that Rafa does. Yet, if we lose, the rotation also gets the blame.
            Oh I don't know.
