    Have we lost 2 targets

    in Young and Neill?

    Have we been outbidded or were we simply not that interested enough to chase and if not, who are we after or are we looking to strengthen at all.

    can not imagine we would want young at that price,probably only mascarheno will join in this window glad we did not buy neill
    The future you have, tomorrow, won't be the same future you had, yesterday.

      Dont think anyone here can really answer that.

      Personally I think the price for young is to high and we must have other options to Neill.

          Neill was a stop gap, as for Young, at that price nobody queued for him.

            Dan, with Lucy Neill we have seen this before with Rafa, he will not pay over the odds for a player, whether it be transfer fee or wages.

            Ashley Young, well hes probably the several thousand players we have been linked with since Rafa has arrived.

            We have got a few youngsters on board and I feel we shall still see an established player arrive.

              Young = too expensive.

              Neill = I'm glad he hasn't joined. Greedy b@stard!

                dunno about young but we weren't outbid as such with neill. in my view, Liverpool should not be in a wages war with West Ham United. A player fit for Liverpool will choose us anyhow. A player not fit for Liverpool will choose West Ham.

                      It has to be said that yet again its been a disappointing transfer window as so far Rafa hasn't got the men he wanted. Neill chose WHU & Maschereno still hasn't arrived. If he does, then it won't have been too bad a window for us, if not 0 out of 2 is a poor showing.

                          I think we were interested in Ashley Young but not at the price he moved for. As for Lucas Neill...He's not worth the money that West Ham are paying him and I'm glad we never bowed down to his demands.

                            I thought we'd agreed to stop this.
                            .
                            Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

                            May the Lord bless this post.
