maybe its becuase were always penny piching/screwing the best deal out of the sellers but we always seem to do our biggest deals late. i wouldnt be surprised if these mascherano + 1 in in the next week

Man United, Arsenal and Chelsea haven't done any deals yet either. I think it's just a question of negotiating tactics - both sides in the negotiation do it otherwise one side will get ripped off by the other. I don't think you can say it's penny-pinching.
