    Mannix gone

    David Mannix had has his contract cancelled by mutual agreement.
    The midfielder came through the Academy and was a regular in the reserve side but saw a lot of his early promise sidelined by serious injury. Mannix is now free to negotiate a free transfer with another club.
    Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
    'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

          He`s finally injury free, but by the look of the club he`s going to the injuries really hampered him.

                Strange though, don't you think - "by mutual consent".
                You hear that regarding managers, but rarely with players.... what's that about?

                I naturally hope the lad has a successful career ahead of him though.
