Well Celtic and Rangers have won a lot of domestic trophies and Celtic have a bigger ground and bigger support base than Arsenal. Arsenal haven't done much in Europe except for the cup winners cup.
Celtic have been in the final of the UEFA cup.

It just seems to me that Arsenal are so over-rated and only get into the G14 because of that **** Dein's influence on footballing organisations

Arsenal were included after the original 14 were set up and got included at the same time Valencia were when they got to two CL finals.

To be fair to Arsenal, in the past 10-15 years, they have been to every European final (CL,UEFA, Cup Winners) and have won trophies domestically.
Twin boys - now arriving late August 2008.

Its gonna be Fernando and Gerrard if I get my way!

Celtic & Rangers are invited to the meetings, there was debate whether to call if the G18 or something,

There are plenty of other teams with better records not in the G14

Arsenal went a whole season unbeaten in possibly the best league in the world and are infinitely better than the Glasgow pairing. Arsenal are supported across the planet. Celtic and Rangers are massive in Scotland and Ireland and that's about it.

There are some controversial comments in their, especially regarding Celtics support compared to Arsenals.
Best league in the world? Controversial.

Arsenal are over-rated and are only in there because of Dein. They've never won a European cup, Celtic have.

Over-rated? They just thrashed us. Doesn't say much for us.

Celtic won the EC 40yrs ago.

Arsenal aren't overrated. Their record over the last ten years suggests they are an extremely good side.

Your opinon, but I don't think they should be in the G14, they're not even the best club in London.
I think winning the European cup should be a pre-requisite of being in the G14, even if that means taking it to the G13.

For starters, I can't believe Arsenal are in that list and Ajax aren't.

What the **** is that about?

So two time winners Notts Forest should be in?

Winning the EC is NOT what the G14 is about.

No I didn't say every winner of the european cup should be in, I said it should be a pre-requisite of being a member.

So, if it's not about being a major force in european football, what is the G14 all about prey tell.

Nothing to do with winning the EC.

I think they were included to make the group have some sort of balance between the big leagues.

                            Originally it was

                            3 Italy
                            2 England
                            2 Germany
                            2 Spain
                            2 Holland
                            2 France
                            1 Portugal

The inclusion of Arsenal, Leverkusen, Lyon and Valencia all gave the major leagues three clubs and a sense of equality to avoid any possible problems that may arise.

At the time of Arsenals inclusion, Chelsea were potless and Arsenal were winning titles and well as competing in the CL on a yearly basis.

Chelsea will never be included without bringing in members from all other divisions and I don't think this will happen for a while.

Its about being a force over more than 3 years, which Chelsea havent been and which Arsenal have.
Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.
