Martins is a player ive always admired, not sure why Inter wanted to sell. Young, tallented, power and pace.

Martins on top form is devastating, I remember the the recent game vs Spurs and the Arse in the CL a few years ago.
But he`s average level is to low I feel, he`s the kind of player that can go several matches without contributing anything to the team.

When I suggested Martins as a target for us people said that he was shocking at finishing and lazy. To be honest he looked like that when he first came but he has really impressed me of late. I would worry that he appears to be such a confidence player though, as he wouldn't be guarenteed a place with us and might find it hard to find form.

If we were to get a Newcastle player I would like Nzogbia or Taylor. I think both have great potential but need to move on in the next year or so if they are to fulfil it.

I just think he is a real goal threat. In the whole games (i.e. not highlights) I have seen he has had the opposition defence on their toes all the time. He isn't consistant when he gets the ball, a bit like a cross between Emile Heskey and Andy Cole, but better than that sounds
