Some of Pearces's signings have been sh!te and not cheap either. He then proceeds to let Flood go to Cardiff for a measly 300,000!

Can't see the logic in that.

TBH, i don't think Pearce has a very good eye for players.

Decent Tactician, great motivator but it remains to be seen how he will get on at City.

We do seem to bring over a decent number of Irish lads but they never seem to make it or go back to Ireland when they are still young. There was Partridge a few years back and then Foley-Sheriden, and more recently there was a lot of talk about John-Paul Kelly. He was homesick though by all accounts. Maybe we are just not great at helping young players settle in

Yeah what the **** happened to John Paul Kelly?

Foley-Sheridan went back to play in the Oirish league, didn't he?

Kelly is playing for Bohemians now I think and Foley-Sheridan is at St Patricks

Dont ask where I found this
Yeah that was announced on Today Fm some weeks back, supposed to be a decent enough player.
A business associate said to me he'd seen him play and that he was highly rated.

there was a good article on irish youngsters in the championship in last sundays independent ( i think it was ***) basically bemoaning the fact that no irish players are making the grade in the prem due to foreigners.
Parry is a clown. En Rafa que confiamos

                And Irish are no foreigners...

In fairness, the English league is our main league too, just as it is for the Scots, Welsh and Northies.

The likes of France and Spain are considered the foreigners as they have a big league themselves and their style and culture are totally different.

Ask a Celtic fan what he thinks about the EPL...

I think we have some deal with Bohs that we can take John Paul Kelly back at some stage in the future if he develops well.

Similar to the Barragan deal then? I'm liking this little transfer strategy. Makes a change for us to be doing positive things in that area - however small and seemingly insignificant.

I'm almost certain I heard it mentioned around the time he made his debut for Bohs (where he knocked in two).

It's a smart strategy, even if the chances of him making it are slim enough.
