I'm probably the last of a long line of people to have pointed this out (if so - my apologies) but has anyone noticed that S*n advert playing on Sky which trips from clip to clip of groups in different footie strips. The "Liverpool" clip has three birds on a sofa in red tops saying something about penalties at Old Trafford. The Liverpool girls are actually the only ones not actually wearing a team strip - you're just meant to assume that they are. There must be a dozen teams featured and only the Liverpool clip doesn't have the actors in team strips.

What's that about? Did they ask the club for permission and have it refused (hope so)? Do they need permission to buy a top from JJB sports and film someone in it?

Could be co-incidence but I'm always doubtful of those.

Yeah, I've seen that advert several times and am surprised they managed to find a scouser to appear in it who isn't Rooney.

Also, if she's meant to be a Liverpool fan, aside from being in a Sun advert she is a poor representative going on there commenting about Man U not conceding penalties at OT.

My initial thought on the Ad when i saw it, was that it was an attempt to make the LFC fans out to be bitter and whiney. Everyone else gets to big up their own team and the LFC girlies just moaned about the scum and their penalties.

Yep, I’ve resisted the urge to comment on this ****ing ad for a while. It REALLY gets under my skin. They clearly couldn’t get a single male LFC fan to agree to appear in the ad (naturally) so planted a couple of Scouse birds (could be Blues for all we know) to whinge about the Mancs getting penalties. Pathetic. Everyone else boasts about their achievements, and we’ve got more to boast about than anybody…yet The S*n couldn’t resist this cheap shot. It’s meaningless and I shouldn’t let it bother me, but it ****S ME OFF.

And that Manc bleating “Fastest goal? Eight titles in 14 years!” doesn’t half piss me off. Another Manchestoh caveman who thinks football started in 1992.

Yeah if you read what these girls say, you are only assuming that they are Liverpool fans because of their accents, they don't mention us, and weren't wearing any of our gear.

I believe the club would have, rightly, vetoed any thing to do with that scum.

There was a long debate about this when the advert first appeared months ago. They could of course be Everton fans on that sofa, but they were definitely actors and they may not have even been Scouse.

I mean only one of them speaks if I'm not mistaken, and she could easily be doing an accent.

Either way, it seems petty that a scouser goes on there and all she can do is moan about referees' bias towards Man U.

I'm sure even a blue****e would come up with some bollocks about being the People's club before moaning about either us or the Scum.

I think people should remember it's a scripted advert. The S*n wouldn't have used a positive LFC comment - they may not even be allowed to.
