I seem to remember that you said one of your partents is Irish.

Don't know where he plucked that from.... LFC will be run as a business. Yes it seems these guys are winners, but i don't see silly money being banded about at all if Rafa has his way...

He also said that the Dubai consortium wont be getting involved in first team affairs... way too positive in my opinion.

its stuipd saying that the sheik has more money than abramovic as its like saying the government has more than him. most of his money is tied up in investments and buildings whereas abramovic has shed loads in banks as hes sold his business off to the russian government for something like 10 billion. then theres the fact chelsea are his play thing and hes not expecting any return on his investment whereas DIC are as they are an investment business looking for a return. i would expect an increase in our transfer funds but nothing like what chelsea spend.

Agree with the points you make on the whole - some of those comments comparing to Abramovich and Glazer are irrelevant and off the mark.

I think the key difference is the plaything aspect, I sincerely hope DIC would let the management and coaching staff get on with the job of putting together a competitive team and have no involvement other than buying the players Rafa wants, while DIC take charge of off-field matters like merchandising and other revenues.

What it seems we're seeing more and more at Chelsea is them becoming a plaything for Abramovic, he's putting the money in and wants a team of galacticos that play the way he wants. I think this is what is causing the friction with Mourinho. I hope we dont see the same type of meddling from our club's new owners when DIC take charge.

but as an individual is he pissed off with getting ripped off?? or why are they not spending this transfer window, when they definitely need to!!

We will be better in the long run as will it really bother roman if he wrecks chelsea? or walks away. DIC are a business and as such will conduct themselves as one. for a return of there investment we will have to be succesful on the pitch. Look at our neighbours.....scum are not scared in shelling out money, glazier knows successs on the pitch means more success of it.

It's a funny one that, isn't it (sorry, innit)? When I first saw him on North West Tonight I thought why the hell has he jacked in the job at the Sport with all those naked women to work as a 'junior' sports reporter at the Beeb...

However, he's quite funny and has a bit of banter with co-presenters Gordon Burns (ex-Krypton Factor) and Diane Oxberry ("why aye Di" off Simon Mayo's Radio 1 Breakfast Show). I've met him at Turf Moor (my company sponsors the Centre of Excellence at Burnley) and he's a really nice bloke and probably their only 'celebrity' fan (apart from Alastair Campbell... )

Take Abramovich welth and then add a zero and you will probably get close to what the Sheikh is worth.

Roman isn't anywere near as rich as our soon to be new owner.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
