Eto'o starts 2nd phase of recuperation.

FC Barcelona´s top striker Samuel Eto'o has started his second phase of his recuperation with his personal physiotherapist. There is no date set for his return to the squad but the Cameroon international makes fast progress. Eto'o is determined to work with the Barca physio´s on his physics and to rebuild his muscles, so he can return to team training as soon as possible. Tommorrow, Eto'o will have a medical meeting with FC BArcelona´s medical staff, Ramon Channel (head of medical department), Ricard Pruna (first team doctor) Ramon Cugat (surgeon, who operated Eto'o´s knee) and the Physiotherapists. In the meeting, the responsible people involved will work on a plan for Samuel Eto'o´s return to team training, but neither the player nor the doctors want to rush back the striker into action. The next days will give more information, when Sammy will be able to return to the squad. The main objective is to bring the player to full fitness for the Championsleague clash against Liverpool.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Let's hope he suffers a setback in his recuperation putting his return back to March 7th.

I couldn't give a ish if he plays. lets be honest he won't be at the same level as he was before his injury. It will take a good few months before he is back to his best.

So we've got no chance against them ?

If he's playing in the first leg then he'll be knackered for the second. The guy hasn't played for christ knows how long and you don't just trot into a game like that and expect to get through it without problems.

I reckon they'll hold off with him until they come to our place.
What have I learned, Mr Mackay? Three things. One - bide your time. Two - keep your nose clean. And three - don't let the *******s grind you down

They'll probably try and get him ready to play a game or two before we go to their place, and see how he gets on before deciding if he'll face us.

I agree, even if he does recover in time, there will no be enough matches for him to compete in to get him 100% fit. Will Barca risk him if he is only 60% fit? Same goes for Messi.

Problem is, he's the kind of player who doesnt NEED to be 100% to hurt us.

I just dont know if Barca would risk him. Messi picked up an injury against the chavs last year and I dont think he played for barca again that season (maybe wrong not sure if he got a game at the end of the season or not) but even though they had the cl final they didnt want to set him back. Think they will view eto'o with the same idea, if he is not fully fit and the boys arfe coping then why risk him, bring him back gently rather than risk him and opening him up to more injuries.

Yeah but if there's a competition they'd risk him for, it's the CL.
