Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Great goal, worked hard, but not his best game.
I was slagging him off in the 1st half, I even said to the missus, "Watch him score in this game, he's been ****e so far but he'll score".

This was after screaming at Pennant for the Chav$ki game, only for him to come up with that goal!

Anyone else noticed this? If so, is it something to worry about or is he just getting used to the English style of play?
I think a reasonable analogy would be Drogba. Initially he did well enough but often seemed lacking imagination in terms of what to do when not playing his presribed role. I think Kuyt is often asked to play a slightly unfamiliar role in that we rarely have anyone in the box and he plays quite deep. I expect that as he beds in his instincts for what can be done in certain situations will improve. I really think next season he will kick on and really show what he can do.

There was never any doubt about him. I remember Lecter & REDSCOUSER praising on Kraptalk for a long time and they were right.

Now certain people have left the site I think we could probably get rid of this now.
