    Messi back next week?

Leo Messi could make a sensational Barcelona return next week against Racing Santander.

The Argentine midfield ace is flying back to Spain later this week after fully recovering from his foot injury and admits he's "desperate to play" again for Barca.

"I have passed every test and I'm delighted," Messi told DiarioSport . "I have a week left here then I will travel to Barcelona. We have worked hard and I am satisfied with my fitness."

Messi could be handed a second-half cameo against Racing in preparation for Barca's Champions League showdown with Liverpool.

"I'm desperate to play again. I've trained very hard in these last three months and nothing is better than playing."

Asked about fresh interest from Inter Milan, Messi was adamant: "I'm not bothered about that. The affection of the people of Barcelona is worth more than any big contract."
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

well he seemed to be on his way from recovering from his muscle injury last year and Barca didn't risk him until after they won the CL.
Even if he does play against us, I doubt he would have had enough time to be fully match fit.

      Nice comments from Messi
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
