    All these youngsters.....

Been out of the loop for a while due to all my travels, but we have signed a good number of promising youngsters - from better climates, and who probably don't know english or the english way of life too well.

I just hope that we are not paying all this money and for promising youngsters who turn out to get homesick and do a barragan....

    Any thoughts on this?

    welcome back.

    How was the wedding?

Most of the youngsters are on long term loans, so it looks like we have learnt from our mistakes.

there will be so many young players that are homesick, they will make each other feel at home
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

      * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Indeed we did - and have a clause to bring him back for not very much. Its the way forward, I think we're looking at young British players too. but so often anyone with a modicum of talent is so overpriced here its silly - ie. Bale for £10m
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
            Mine angry and defrauded young?
