I can't believe we had agreed on the joint statement to be read on Monday confirming the deal and then we pull out without any explanation whatsoever. It's a disgrace.

The article posted by Kurt makes for sobering reading. If we agreed a deal in principle with DIC and then decided to consider a rival bid DIC had no option but to walk. Nice one Rick and Dave :applause:

I personally thought that Gillett's higher bid would simply be a bump on the road to a DIC takeover. Evidently it is the case that money has spoken to these greedy ****s (by which I mean all the shareholders) and they've decided that lining their pockets is far more important than the future of the club. At the end of the day, this is a football club, a special football club, it is not a financial investment for any one other than corporate shareholders. I would have thought all individual shareholders would have shared that view of the club and consider it's future and well being far more important than financial gains. Evidently this is not the case.

Safe to say I misjudged Gillett. His offer was enough to turn the heads of the greedy ***** on the board and members, and in so doing take DIC out of the picture.

Before I go to bed....can I just say we will never be another Man U or Villa because we are Liverpool Football Club FFS & regardless of the name our traditions are what build the expectations of us & it is up to us in conjuction with the club to up hold it.
No deals are signed David Moores is still in charge but so far I have supported Parry & Moores on the basis they have done the best for the club. Until we are told other wise I'm working on that assumptiion that is the truth & karma will deal with the rest... and karma will....

Wishing ill on others regardless is a bitters game....*

There's no two ways about it, This has been a major **** up by the board of directors. One that will hopefully not come back to haunt us.
