    Justice for the 39

    Just as serious.

Juventus in 05 was a big stand for us. IMO, too little too late.

I ****ing hate fans accusing us. We are innocent, we know it, i'm pretty sure they know it, let's make a stand.

Heaven knows. We are one of the most well organised clubs in the country. I want Juve to acknowledge that we don't in ANY way condone what happened, but they were a minority.

A friendship trust between the two clubs.

      A pre-season friendly every year?

These are ideas. Help me! Links between the two clubs is the jist.

They suggested such things when we played them.
Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.

So why did they not come off? I cant see us knocking them back so I can only guess they didnt want to know.

Can we not push the matters ourselves?

I get fed up with Mancs and Bluenoses accusing.

This is a very important matter for the club.

i think the best way to deal with this is to admit guilt and to build bridges. Saying we are innocent i think is a grey area and only makes us look like we cant admit problems.

I think it should be pointed out that we have made huge strides since then and that if many other teams where at heysel it would have happened but they wherent so it is ourselves and juve.

but i do think that a game every season would be great and i was touched by the actions our club took in our match at anfield

i get bloody annoyed by mainly teenagers called us murderers. i am constantly astounded how much venom younger people seem to have towards us even though they where not born then.

I've banged on about this for years to anyone who'll listen. The whole thing is becoming 'accepted wisdom' that we were responsible etc. etc. Those of us that were there (i can -and do- recall every second of that day on a regular basis) know what it was like. Justice indeed, a very complicated word that.

                      Steve,

I hope i didint offend i certainly didnt mean to and will bow to people who where there.

In very simple terms My understanding is that there was trouble between two sets of fans. Us and them. and at the end of it we charged a wall and it fell on juve supporters.

obviously much more complicated than that. i do think that it has more to do with crap crap stadium and certain factions that where active in grounds back then for many many clubs.

am i far wrong in that? or am i over simplifying or just plain wrong?

I still get angry about that day

From Maggie Thatcher's rush to Judgement, which deflected the blame from Uefa for picking a ground that was falling to pieces.

I was in sector X and half way through the first half the barrier in front of me just gave way, and it was no where near as crowded as the Kop on your average league game..............we just picked it up and passed it down to the front only to later be accused of vandalism

                        OK over
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

Our fans charged their fans, and the wall collapsed under the weight of their fans trying to escape. You make it sound as if our fans deliberately pushed a wall on top of their fans, which was not the case at all.

                              OK some education obviously needed

AS stated previously the stadium was a joke and well past its sell by date

The bulk of the italian fans were behind one goal I think sectors A, B & C

we were behind the opposite goal in sectors X & Y( y being the sector directly behind the goal) but for some reason best known to the authorities they had sold tickets in sector Z to italian fans

Now the Italian mentality comes into play here, for some reason most of them go into the ground as soon as the gates opened, we brits on the other hand tend to wander about outside for a while and soak up the atmosphere outside

about an hour before kick off some of the italians started throwing pieces of the disintegrating stadium at our few fans in sector Y, as Y filled up they started spitting as soon as our fans came in range obviously as sectors X & Y filled up the odds changed into our favour and some charged sector Z...... those in sector Z fled towards the side of their section nearest the stand and a wall gave way killing 39 italians.

The saddest part of this is that those nearest the wall were those trying to keep away from any trouble the trouble makers were obviously closest to sector Y and I presume escaped unhurt
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"
