There is a salary cap in the NHL, and players are traded not outright bought most of the time...so relax a little.

              Oh f*ckin brilliant

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

And just to back up what I said, AnfieldAnfield posted the following....

There's a Canadian lad on another forum basically saying the Hockey team Gillette took over haven't spent anywhere near enough money, the fans dont like him, and the team was far better off before Gillette got involved with them!

It's common knowledge that he's been crap for the Canadiens.

It seems that we're always one or two players short every season. Each year we have that one final piece of the jigsaw (this year it was Bellamy). To be honest, its because the last piece of the jigsaw that is going to make a difference to us has always been a world player of the year type and we're never in for them are we, its always a "make do" player that we bring in to run the wing or poach us goals.

Yes there are only so many world class players to go round, but if we don't have the finances to bring them in, they will be going elsewhere, and they may well have a choice of 4 clubs now, not 3.
Blackburn IMO would never happen again as the main players were british and there wasn't much competition.

Chav's did it as the lure of London and a billionaire owner was the new thing.

Newcastle, just can't see players turnng down scum, arses or Chavs for them.
Also DIC arn't like an Abramovic and throw money here there and everywhere.

Not many world class players going round and we have a good few of them.
If more money in the PL spreads the world class player more thinly then arn't we in a better possition.

Spurs are a great example this year, had money and backing and are struggling.

The PL and football is the big thing at the mo and will become saturated with rich owners but only 4 prizes, there will be players like DIC who once this saturation splits all theprizes and money will sell up and move to another country sport.

No matter how much money it all comes down to the players on the pitch, the team and that's where we, scum and arses are miles ahead of the oposition.

everyplayer who plays for Liverpool likes playing for Liverpool and the fans

some players who play for WHU like playing for the money and possibility of a big move.
That takes more than money to change overnight.

who's to say they know how to run a club? they know buisness yes, nut would they keep the current board on or replace it and with who?

but the lure of London with the Arses and Chav's, lilkewise SPurs over the north east no contest.

That ain't exactly the truth and NHL also have a salary cap these days so the days when rich teams bought the players they wanted is over anyway.

                        EDIT:

And it's the GM of the team that buys & sells the players over there. I find it really hard to believe that Gillet would involve himself with the teams daily business.

By the way, the salary cap is currently 44M$ and Canadiens currently pay 41M$. So it's not like they are on a tight budget.

I can't believe people are gutted about DIC possibly taking over Newcastle. Surely we should be relieved that they aren't buying us given that they can supposedly switch allegiances overnight?!

How long before the Sheikh confesses to having a NUFC screensaver on his home PC?
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet
