    Saturday build-up thread

If anyone cares about the game football anymore.

Do you think Momo or Mascherano(if he is allowed to play for us) will play?

Would you play three strikers again or go back to 4-4-2?

We will get three points, no question about that.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

          My thoughts exactly.
What have I learned, Mr Mackay? Three things. One - bide your time. Two - keep your nose clean. And three - don't let the *******s grind you down

No reason why it should. They will get paid regardless of what talks are on in the background. They have protection through their contracts. Any player who tried to use the investment sage as an excuse for a poor performance would just be passing the buck. They are paid to do a job, well paid at that, and the job is to perform on the pitch.

I agree, but they are only human and I imagine they must be as dissapointed as we are. Yesterday I couldn't concentrate on talking to a prospective wedding photographer let alone playing a game of football infront of millions of fans.......so why should they be any different?

Having uber wealth doesn't make you a robot or a football machine, it just makes you....errr....wealthy.

The good news is we are playing the Blue ****e which should give the lads added motivation.

Sorry but I don't agree. People who earn a fraction of what the players do, and who will never experience the pampered lifestyles, have to get on with life, regardless of the **** that comes at them.

If the players cannot get motivated by the fact that the next game they play is the Derby, then I would be sickened.

As a fan, I am more concerned with the match this weekend, than an investment saga that will play out to it's conclusion, regardless of whether the players or fans are stressed over it.

At least the players can influence what happens in the derby, and I would expect them to come out with all guns blazing.
