Might as well, it's gone way left field as it is, and way, way wooshed miles over my head with the posts.Originally posted by Maestro View PostCan I just add a post in the hope that this thread will become as long, as cumbersome and - for the most part - inane as the DIC thread? Thanks.
Rant! Morons! Arsebiscuits! Rave!
Damn Yanks! Damn Arabs! Rant! Hockey! Rant! Grrr!

I suppose we don't do serious here?

As I said, I haven't marked the forums read yet, I'm only on page 20 of trying to wade through the crap trying to separate the wheat from the chaffe.Originally posted by Maestro View PostTbh, my head is fried after trying to decipher that DIC thread. Some great posts but loads of knee-jerk hyperbole and unjustifiable vitriol.
Maybe have a sticky for "investment - serious discussion only" thread? free from all rants & raves and leave all the knee-jerk reactions to the daily threads?

The problem with this line from Parry & Moores is that until yesterday they had been banging on about how great DIC were. We had loads of pro DIC propaganda from the board that had convinced fans that DIC was the ideal investor. Now all of a sudden we are to believe thats not the case & the poor mans Glazer is the chosen one after all.
Now we all know things can change quickly in business but 1 of 2 things happened.
1. We ballsed up by trying to play Gillet & DIC off against each other to the point where DIC took their ball home.
2. Something was unearthed about DIC that LFC didn't like, something that suddenly made their bid unattractive.
Now whilst it may have been option 2 (for instance the leaked memo about DIC selling up in 7 or 8 years time) its hard for many fans to rule out option 1. Until we know what really happened, which will probably be never, that thought will always be in the back of our minds.
Say Gillet does take over & things don't work out well, you can bet we will refer back to yesterdays events with Moores & Parry getting both barrels.AKA Heighway No9
