Yes all the money paid by Michael as a fine goes to the waiter.

NO-ONE is saying that what happened to the bulgarian waiter should have happened.
If michael is ever given a proper trial and IF he is proven innocent, then that waiter has a lot to answer for by pointing the finger at michael.
I think you are just trying to say something controversial to cause a unnecessary argument so you can get some attention.
If I am wrong I apologize, but i think it would be better if you just stick to what this thread is about.
Personally I don't think Georgiev (sp?) would have made a reliable witness either way, the poor guy had half his skull collapsed by some thug. He should never have been made a witness, especially in the way that it was handled (i.e. Sheilds being made to wear a white top which he didn't own and being 'displayed' as a trophy prisoner prior to the line up)

I don't care if its Shields, the other Scouser, or a Bulgarian thug who did it - as long as there is a fair trial. It might be Michael, but we will never know until a proper hearing is held.

There is meant to be some sort of fund raising concert on the Liverpool Empire to try and get the money needed to get him home.

The HJC is dedicating the Blackburn home game to raising funds to bring Michael Shields home from his Bulgarian cell.

All monies spent on any items purchased in the HJC shop on the day will be donated to the 'Bring Michael Home' Appeal and a member of Michaels family will be in the shop on that day to show support and to thank those who have and continue to support their son and help clear the ever increasing debt that has been incurred by the Bulgarian Court

It would be greatly appreciated if fans could call into the shop on the day and show support for the cause but if this is not possible you could donate to Michael's fund by sending a cheque to the HJC clearly marking that it is for the Michael Shields fund at:

                  Hillsborough Justice Campaign
                  PO Box 1089
                  178, Walton Breck Road
                  Liverpool
                  L69 4WR

Alternatively details of how to make a direct donation can be found at:

The banner which the HJC has always operated under has always been 'Justice for all'. I cannot think of any case that more comes under this banner than the Michael Shields case, a day has been clearly designated to raise desperately needed funds for a Liverpool fan suffering from an incredible mis-carriage of justice. This miscarriage has happened whilst supporting Liverpool Footnall Club and, the committee of the HJC feel they should be doing everything that they can to bring Michael home.

They are also looking for volunteers who can help with the organisation of fundraising on the day, so if you feel that you would like to help with this and can be available from 11am on the day of the game please get in touch with myself at [email protected].

apprently he has been shat on by the bulgarian govt.again.
they said he could serve his time at home when a percentage of his fine was paid.
they have now reneged on that deal and are insisting its when the full fine is paid.
the fine is in the region of 90k

This seems a bit strange to be honest. Idve thought they wouldve raised well over 90k by now. There have been charity nights galore yet they are still sort. I know some of it goes on his parents going out there every week but surely they should for go that for a bit inoreder to get the amount needed?

I could always see this happening. I think the Bulgarians didn't think they'd raise enough and have now realised they have and that's why they have changed their minds. They probably also realise that once he gets home it'll only be a short time before he is released.

Now I don't want to cause a storm, but couldn't the club and/or players offer to bring him home and then take a percentage of the money from fund raising, that way the boy gets back to the country, and the supporters still contribute. Just an idea.
