According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

dont think it takes a rocket scientist to work out that we are all completely clueless regarding investment (some seem to be clueless full stop)Originally posted by AFII View PostThe truth IMO is that we don't know anything as usual about the two bids.
We are all just speculating around something we don't know anything about.
I think that is very close to the truth.
lets face it, its another excuse for people to follow there personal agenda mainly against parry/moores, i have no idea with reference to who is telling the truth but its funny that the DICS put out a media friendly statement and everyone is fawning over them, Parry does the same and he is full of ****!!
i personally dont think moores would not do whats best for lfc bearing in mind he has spent 2 yrs on looking for the right deal( and we know he wants out) someone offers a 'measly' 8m more and he sells up lock, stock etc ....something is not right, obviously¬¬_____________________________________

chill out lads, for what it's worth my take on events is this.Originally posted by AFII View PostWhy?
If Moores had an agreement to sell to them then they have every right to pissed off when Moores suddenly will consider another bid.
They may haven taken their time just because they had that agreement with Moores, who knows?
Due dilligence is a time and cost consuming exersise. It is right and proper during this time that buyers will seek and exlusivity agreement. In essence this means that the club will not entertain any bids during that period. It is unclear when DIC competed their due dillience but it does appear to have been completed. Sweeny Todd's bid came in after that period there is no breach of agreement. Asking someone to sell within 12 hours after receiving a rival bid is, as David Moores appears to have called in bullying. Ask your self this question, would you sell your house under the same circumstances? We will not overpay for assetts, to a fan this club is priceless, to a canadian butcher it's worth more than a fan is willing to pay. Go figure as they say over there.Last edited by steveheighwayrobbery; 02-02-07, 12:12 AM."When Sir Henry broke a fast, you cursed double glazing."

MONTREAL, Feb 1 (Reuters) - The U.S. businessman bidding for English Premier League soccer club Liverpool has already made impressive strides in another sport with the National Hockey League's Montreal Canadiens franchise.
Liverpool, the 2005 European champions, are considering a bid by George Gillett after the Dubai International Capital group pulled out of the running.
A spokesman for Gillett in Montreal said the 68-year-old entrepreneur had not commented publicly on speculation surrounding Liverpool and had no immediate plans to do so.
Gillett's initial offer for Liverpool, made last year, was rejected but he impressed majority shareholder and chairman David Moores with a second bid.
Wisconsin-born Gillett's acquisition of the venerable Canadiens club from brewer Molson in 2001 for 250 million Canadian dollars ($212.6 million) rankled the die-hard fans, who were outraged by its sale to an American.
But Gillett, who was once minority partner in the National Football League Miami Dolphins, has improved the Canadiens' fortunes to the point where fans are again dreaming of celebrating another championship.
His purchase of the 24-times Stanley Cup winners was aided by a 140 million Canadian dollars loan from a bank syndicate led by Quebec's powerful public pension fund, Caisse de depot et placement.
The Canadiens, one of the original six clubs that made up the NHL when it was formed in 1909, were long considered hockey's most valuable franchise, but through the latter part of the 1990s, the team fared poorly on and off the ice.
Yet now the team plays to sell-out home crowds of 21,000 and the modern Bell Centre arena, which Gillett picked up in the purchase, has been booking a steady roster of entertainers such as the Rolling Stones and Justin Timberlake.
In a 2003 interview with the Montreal Gazette newspaper, Gillett said he did not meddle in coaching the Canadiens, even if one of his biggest frustrations was not being able to directly affect results on the ice.
"I don't call the coaches or the management group to recommend anything, except perhaps to discuss a process on how to do something," said Gillett, who has a home in Vail, Colorado.
Gillett filed for corporate bankruptcy in 1992, brought down by rising interest rates and junk bond debt, but quickly parlayed personal holdings back into a new business empire.
He is currently chairman of a private family holding with interests in ski resorts, golf courses in the United States as well as meat processing and transport concerns.
