Bear in mind that the conference semis are actually the Stanley Cup quarter finals. The conference quarters is the last 16 of the Stanley Cup.

Since he took over the team reached the play offs in every year, missing out in the QF a couple of times.
Last year they lost to the eventual winners Carlina Hurricanes in 6 games out of 7.
It's a bit different comparing cos Hockey & Footy are two different sports. Hockey got a salary cap which restircts clubs from doin a Chelski and buy all the superstar players.
Hockey season is 80 games + play offs.
I know he's a YANK and all but by god Yanks know how to run a business & turn it into a winner.

?! Don't think that's the case in football really, unless the team is in a ****e state a la West Ham

                  So generally he's improving them?
I agree it's hard to judge considering the fact that there's a salary/spending cap in the NHL.

I guess it is quite an achievement for him as an American to become so accepted by the Canadians. Fair enough.

But I dont see where he is going to come up with the cash to buy the shares, fund the stadium and back Rafa in the transfer market to the extent required to overtake Man U and Chelsea

I know it seems a bit far fetched and probably wouldn't be the case but it could happen. I know that we're in good hands with Rafa but does he? What's to say he wouldn't have his own ideas?

that is right & this year they are doing better than last year..points wise & position wise

I reckon there's more chance of Rafa leaving than this guy sacking him

He's got Hicks with him, by all accounts.

Also he's bound to be backed by banks.

As for taking over Chelsea, well that was NEVER going to happen in terms of spending power. We're only 5 points behind them now

I'm not trying to stir things up. I'm just concerned that a new owner could come in with his own ideas.

He could do Kurt, but if he sacks Rafa he'd have to replace him with someone better.
At this moment in time, that's not very likely
