The deal is still not done. Let's wait for that to be completed before jumping to conclusions or believing newspaper talks about the amount of money needed to succeed. Our team doesn't need £ 120 million. It will be an advantage to have money in the bank if we're going for the top players, but who will they be ? Can't see too much around.

Gillette owns a team
Hicks owns a team, builds club stadia
Yeah...Sheik loves his sport
And the sheikh hasn't invested in his sport? Godolphin..the best a man can get (see what I did there)
The teams they own Dan are NOTHING like LFC, and have nowhere near the potential LFC has on a global scale. North America is like another planet - if it doesn't happen on their shores it doesn't exist - and their sports and support don't travel. They also have a different financial structure to operate in (caps etc.).
They may be the best thing since sliced bread for LFC, but I'm yet to be convinced. With what's happenned in Dubai over the last decade I'm more convinced at this point that DIC will do a quality job wherever they go - you only have to look at the place to see their money talks, and they do what they say they are going to do.
P.S. And the last person I want to see at Anfield is Georrrrrge Dubbbyah
Oh I know Sheik Mo likes his sport but I wondered whether people realised Gillette and Hicks did too as I keep hearing people saying DIC would be better because of his sports track record.
Both parties were / are in it to make money. The English Prem is huge, global brand. Its not some small time Ice Hockey team or a four legged creature.
It WILL make money for them, FACT
"What's your favourite Beatles album then?"
"I think I'd have to say....Best of the Beatles"

I don't disagree. But whether G & H have the "worldwide" business brains to make it work on a global scale are a different matter. The size of their stadia, income, and financial structure are completely different. HAve G& H succeeded outside North America? DIC will know the opportunity inside out from a financial view point because they will have a global "business model" of the growth potential around the globe. They may not understand the workings of a Premiership club (which is probably why the DD took so long) but they will understand how to pull the dollars in.
Gillett has 2 bankruptcies to his name (most successful businessmen have a failure on their track record somewhere), which although not unique does cause me some cause for concern. Having Freddie Boswell and Krusty still in charge also can be seen as a benefit or a missed opportunity.
who would have thought that the Sunday papers produce speculative journalism? Anthing anyone knows at club level will be subject to whatever the yanks wanna do anyway. The club would certainly not leak this kind of info as transfer prices would double overnight if it has any substance.
Bale
Alves
Yes deffo
Villa
I cant see it as i dont think he will come to England.
I would go for Pedersen at Blackburn for left side also. Get rid of Kewell and Riise but keep Aurelio and Gonzalez as cover.
As for strikers Podolski would be nice if a bit unrealistic.
