    Attracting a World Class star?

Here's a question - even with additional funds do you think we be able to/want to attract truely World Class stars i.e. Henry, Ronaldinho, Kaka etc.

And if so - who could you realistically see joining?

      Aguero and Alves.
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there any world class left backs around at the mo?

I honestly couldn't see Rafa bringing in any bona-fide "superstar" like Kaka, for example. Not his style.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I've seen alot of la liga matches but i am hardly an expert. Still, as a viewer, 'one-sidedness' comes to mind. That's my humble opinion. Feel free to add yours.

Re the original question, why not? Hopefully with this takeover the club will start thinking big instead of thinking like Aston Villa. We're the most successful club in England, it's time we started throwing our weight around in the transfer market.

Plus would Rafa sign a player like that?, I suppose it depends on the players attitude. Can't see Rafa signing a big time charlie.

Personally I wouldn't class Simao as world class, Alves is a different matter though, i'd take him easily over Simao. Also, given the way Rafa has been ****ed about by Benfica over Simao, I cant see us going back in a hurry, I guess the same could be said about Alves at Sevilla too. But I get the feeling Rafa would prefer Alves.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

he is a talented striker who has gone stale in his native atletico.
he needs a new challenge imo.

as for his attributes as a player - quick, good touch and finihsing, good off the ball running, can shot, is good in the air, and not so soft as people tend so say on here. he is still young, but has a lot of experience.
apparently his attitude is good too, but that is for rafa to judge of course...

oh, and, no, he isnt world class, but I think he can be with the right coaching
