Jonathan Spector, Mark Wilson, Danny Webber, Jonathan Greening, even John O'Shea and Wes Brown have deteriorated. The last young talent they nurtured themselves were Beckham, Scholes, Butt and the Neville Brothers. That was over 10 years ago and when you analyse the list, Beckham was an Essex boy who wouldn't be allowed to sign for United under the new 'one hour drive' rule, Butt was always a journeyman and what can you say about the Neville Brothers?

So that leaves Paul Scholes and, a year or two before him, Ryan Giggs as the only good 'local' lads they've developed into genuine world class players since Ferguson arrived over 20 years ago. For the "world's biggest club" with a Manager who is supposedly great at developing young talent that record is, quite simply, pathetic...
There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

I see he went down as if hit by a sniper's bullet today at the merest hint of a Spurs' player's presence near him. He's just awful
and before someone bangs on about th eboard not backing the manager with enough cash, lisbon have a feeder club type agreement with United so as soon MU found about our interest they jumped in. Had we have matched the united bid (unlikley to be fair) lisbon were obliged to accept united's first

Ronaldo is a cheating prick nonetheless. That penalty shouldn't have been given.

Ribery would be my pick as new winger.

                    Are you serious?

Are you saying that he is fluking his form at the minute and that next year he will go back to no end product whatsoever?

I think you need to take a look at yourself. At least we've got Pennant. Form is temporary, class is permanent, PHEW!

didnt they almost double or triple the bid that we had agreed with lisbon?
everything had been agreed on and a few days later it wqas announced man u had bid 10m quid at which time we said good luck..

We had agreed a £4m fee with Sporting for him. Man U wasn't interested.

We had to wait until they had played a friendly with Man U before we could sign him. That friendly changed everything. Ronaldo totally dominated the game and Man U decided to sign him.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

                          What about Lennon?

Make him the number one target?
I've wondered who would be a better fit in a red shirt - Alves or Lennon.

I've only seen Alves play a couple of times, but he looks the business. I guess an Alves vs. Lennon debate will always centre around the notion that Lennon has EPL experience and ALves doesn't, but if it were up to me I'd plump for the Brazilian.

id love to see ronaldo get lumps really kicked out of him so he had a reason to dive and roll about. he is a slimey disgusting cheating pretty boy prat though he is playing good stuff cant deny that! we are crying out for some1 that can go past defenders and commit defenders! pennant simply can't do this by the looks of things!
