Just been on RAWK and the lad who took ill yesterday at the match has sadly passed away and if anyone goes on blue kipper you will see just how sick some (not all) of these blue****e really are but listen i don't want to
use this as blue baiting cos it's irrelevent next to someone's death just thought you might want to know. I didn't want to start a new thread as I'm only a newbie but really really sad news

Yesterday? The Everton fans just sang their usual repertoire of "Murderers", "Justice for the 39", "Kopites are Gob****es", "Oh Steven Gerrard, the baby's not yours" and their old chestnut, "your support is ****ing ****"...Originally posted by SCOUSERTOMMY View PostIain what were they singing

Do you go to games, i think the poster below does. We're not that bitter are we, we can accept some things yes?Originally posted by Redspin View PostMancs Best away fans my arse. Oh I see...it's from Speedy. Say no more
Originally posted by ShaggyAlonsoSadly, that is possibly true. I know every single set of away supporters 'perform' better than they do at home. It's always been the way, but usually you get your off days. We have a mainly tremendous away support but there are times when we go missing - you could hear a pin drop in our end at Old ****house this season, for example.
The vermin, however, are ALWAYS vociferous away from home - even if 95% of their songs are about us. They still make a noise.

To be fair it was only a couple of idiots. Most were sympathetic.Originally posted by Trousers View PostJust been on RAWK and the lad who took ill yesterday at the match has sadly passed away and if anyone goes on blue kipper you will see just how sick some (not all) of these blue****e really are but listen i don't want to

Obviously being younger, I've got less experience with comparing away supporters throughout the past decade or two, but here's my take on it...Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostSadly, that is possibly true. Ourselves and Man Utd are generally regarded to have the loudest/best away support in the country. In terms of sheer volume, from what I've seen, read and heard, the mancs are probably louder, even if every other song is Liverpool related. At our aways, (inside the ground at least) you very rarely, if ever, hear more than 50 or so fans singing about Shipman or Munich...it's always a vast, vast minority. I didn't hear it at all when I went to our aways at West Ham, Spurs, or Arsenal this season.
To a lesser extent, Pompey, Villa and West Ham have a very vocal away support, considering the size of their respective clubs, we shouldn't forget that.
To be fair though Shaggy, for the past 17 years the mancs have always had more to shout about, they've been winning titles left right and center, while we've had to settle for constant underachievement. It's far, far easier to vocally support a side that is winning games and scoring goals, for the past 17 years, that's exactly what they've been doing away from home, hence the louder nature of their support.
No wonder our away support was ****e at Old Trafford earlier in the season. It was an embarrassing performance.
Am I making excuses for us ? Maybe, but it's hardly a coincidence that the most succesful side in the past 20 years has also had the most vocal away support.Last edited by anfieldanfield; 05-02-07, 01:46 AM.

We've had to put up with them having a decent away support for decades Dan. Even when they were ****. Our's and their's are the best two in the country, no doubt. Although i've been getting **** loads of grief for our display at their gaff this season.
We'll show them what Anfield is about at the start of march
