I totally agree but watching the highlights and the celebrations again really makes you understand how lucky we are compared to other fans who don't get to experience such a rollercoaster ride of a season and a final!!
Thinking back on the disbelief, the teary eyes and the pride makes me wanna watch the whole final again with a couple of beers but I can't - have to prepare tomorrow's lunch boxes for my boys

We're lucky from one perspective, but speaking personally, i would've been luckier to have been born in the mid-late 60s, and been able to witness the incredible period from 1977-1984. I got to see the latter mid-80s onwards, which were great for a period of time. Wouldnt have minded being old enough to go to the games back then, though.

They've started to watch the games with me on the telly but all they're interested in is seeing me jumping around like a mad man whenever we score - so obviously this season has been a big disappointment for them as well...
I see your point about missing the golden era - that would have been so nice. I started following the club in 1983 when I was 8 so I also got to experience the last titles and I can't even begin to imagine the feeling when we clinch number 19

Haha. I think it takes a few years to appreciate a league title. The first season I was really into it when we nearly won it I didn't care that much, I was more concerned with CL. Now I would rather the PL over CL.

I very much doubt the idea of Hicks was to come in, run us down and then leave, I have no doubt he wanted us to compete for the top trophies as a successfull side means a more valuable asset.
