Anfield area is very much dependant on LFC for it to survive, it's not a thriving metropolis.
To be honest the Emirates Stadium is hardly Central London and the only people that will see it are the local residents and arsenal fans/away fans.

Wow, hadn't read through the thread but pretty much put down exactly the same thing. London will not be the pull for sponsors. Live matches will be.

(Alright mate, hope all is well)

I'll settle for NEW ANFIELD I'd hate to have a stupid name for our new stadium even if it brings 100£ m more.

Truth is selling the stadium name is a necessary evil. We've gone down the money route now & theres no turning back.

We'll end up playing in the Addidas Stadium but you do wonder where it will all end. How long before we are known as Addidas Liverpool or some such name. For an old timer like me, well I'm 40 now , you can't help but be a little sad about it all.

Even though I'm 20 years younger, you really do have to question the direction English football is going. It's a worry.

Especially when you compare it with other leagues around Europe.

                    Germany - Standing areas/great atmosphere/cheap tickets/competitive league

Spain - In the last 6 years about four different sides have won the league. A season ticket at Madrid can cost as little as £160.

thats because RM is a membership club. You have to buy membership every year so prices are cheaper.

The ticket prices across Europe are all much, much cheaper than here in England.

We're being taken for a ride.

That's funny that you mention Germany as nearly EVERY stadium in Germany has sold it's naming rights, BayArena, AllianzArena, RheinEnergieStadion Cologne, AOLArena, Daimler Stadion, AWG Arena, etc. etc.
