Gillett has already basically confirmed ticket prices will go up and we'll be selling the name of our stadium.

Two major low points, as far as I am concerned.

i think the naming of the stadium is inevitable.

and ticket prices while disappointing when you look objectively and compare our tickets to the others they are very cheap.
can you tell i am an accountant???

we have to move with the times. While laudable this approach has led to the fact we cant compete. we cant have it both ways i am afraid.

Our ticket prices go up every year so unless they are intending steeper rises than normal then it shouldn't be a major problem. As for the stadium naming rights - It's been club policy for some time (ever since the Arsenal/Emirates deal was announced) to not rule out that possibility indeed it was also DIC's policy as well.

They can call it what they like and pronounce it how they like provided they take the club forward and start by sorting out the global marketing shambles that is currently in place.

Major high points if it brings in No. 19!

don't care about the naming of the stadium its what's on the pitch that maters.

as for ticket prices going up and complaining.
we all say the club needs to make more money and even sugestions of the fans buying the club out. Why not just pay for it by turning up!!!

I go week in week out and if prices go up, but the manager can get the players he wants instead of settling for 2nd choice then its money well spent. I'd prefer to pay 10quid more and maybe forfit a couple of pints and see better players.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

The REEBOK the JJB to name but a few before the Emirates was built. It is the way forward as they said in the PC, if it lets us buy a "Qualitiy" player each year, then who are we to complain?
                  Go **** yourself

I'm torn. Depends how 'quality' this player is.

GG described it as enabling us to sign one extra 'great' player a year - i'm keen to find out how he defines 'great'.

If he signed Rodriguez for 250 mil in the US he means the best players available.

                        Could well do.

Let's just hope he allows Rafa to identify them

Rafa wanted Alves and Simao but didn`t have the dosh, thats why we have the likes of Pennant.

It's questionable whether Rafa would still want Simao and Alves, with the potentially new budget he's likely to have.

Yeah, hopefully we`ve gone from paupers to princes but i`ve a feeling Rafa we have his own personal price cap to advoid the Chelsea pri-madonna problem.
