    Aussie Reds

The Newcastle game is on Fox Sports this weekend. We are hving a very good run with televised games at the moment.
"I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.

    Yeh, 2am N.S.W. time.
    On the Ning Nang Nong
    Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
    There's a Nong Nang Ning
    Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
    On the Nong Ning Nang
    All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
    So it's Ning Nang Nong!
    Cows go Bong!
    Nong Nang Ning!
    Trees go Ping!
    Nong Ning Nang!
    The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!

The Burwood hotel next to the station used to be 24hour, rough as guts tho. Most leagues clubs are open just a matter of finding one showing the game on the tele. I havn't like in Sydney for a few years now so i am not sure about the accuracy of what im saying.

If you are in Sydney get to Scruffy Murphy's in George Street. Heres a link to their website it shows the sports highlights....

"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

                  Thanks for this mate.
Just arrived to live in Sydney on Monday, so this is good news....

PS Looking for a place to live here in the eastern suburbs is a nightmare - so few places available and massive rental amounts.....but seem to have found a spot in Rose Bay tonight!

Careful there... its not the most expensive city to live in. Its the 7th most expensive city..... in the world

Rose Bay's pretty good, Im on the other side of the city in Glebe so Scruffy's is a few minutes away. Its good and central for everyone.

I've been in Sydney a couple of months now and have watched a few games at Scruffys, most notably the debacles against Arsenal.

I'll tell you what, back in England you might whinge about the 12.45's but over here it's not much fun getting up at half 5 in the morning to hotfoot it into town!

Some places in melbourne open 24 hours like the Casino where you can watch sport round the clock. Lots of pubs televise prenier league and are open late into the night. LFC generaly get a good run on cable tv over here(theres no live premier league on free to air same as in England I hear?) although i personally think Man ure get a better one!
