This is our squad for the day, according to the BBC:

Reina, Finnan, Carragher, Hyypia, Riise, Luis Garcia, Gerrard, Alonso, Pennant, Bellamy, Crouch, Paletta, Kromkamp, Carson, Dudek, Zenden, Sissoko, Gonzalez.

So only really Paletta and Kromkamp who might be used from the bench (although I just realised they included three keepers - so I guess that this squad might be pure conjecture).

Play the kids on Sunday against Chelsea, not tonight. Too much is at stake.
I can picture in my mind a world without war, a world without hate. And I can picture us attacking that world, because they'd never expect it.

Passing this stage is worth around £12m isn't it? I don't think we will play our strongest eleven from the start but there won't be many differences.

I think Zenden could be given a start on the left even though he's been playing in the centre for the friendlies.

I guess left wing is the most contentious position. I had a sneaking feeling it might be Warnock, but I would rather see Gonzales given a run out if he is fit.

This is a must win game, we have to treat this like a final!

I think a few of them would really benefit, guys like Carson and Anderson in particular.

Even if it's only for 30mins (circs permitting)

or do people think we should go for a more experienced line up?
                  Very bad idea.
Needs to be the strongest line-up possible for the whole game.. Partly to ensure a result, but also so that the first team can get a game under their belts. How many of them have played a full 90 minutes so far?
Switch off when not in use.

As I said, circs permitting it'd be good for the lads to get some game time.

He looked out of his depth. We should go all out for the win tonight. No doubt about it. No time for messing about with kids.
