    Not just for boys...

Feel free to move this thread Mods as it's only tenuously linked to us but has anybody heard the advert for Everton on Radio City?! I nearly crashed my ****ing car it was so funny.

Basically, they're desperately advertising for women to attend a 'Ladies Day' at the match against Blackburn next Saturday. They've reversed the traditional male-female roles and have a woman telling her husband (in a radio-type semi-scouse accent) that she's off to the match and won't be back till later to which he replies something like "what, off to Everton to watch the match again?"

The strapline at the end is even funnier and says something like, "Everton. It's not just for boys!!!"

There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

I haven't heard it but i can imagine how tacky it sounded, i think the whole day will turn out embarassing for them with only a few extra woman bothering on a cold February day and it'll be their usual dissapointing attendence with a stadium of bitter men. Recently they are stooping to new lows with the Stallone visit - actually saying get down to GP to welcome this Hollywood legend to get a few extra bums on seats with him embarassingly parading himself before the game AND at half time - and now 'ladies day'.

I have had 4 emails about this from the Everton mailing list. My "mate" who is an IT bod did some jiggery pokery at work and signed me up for it and it can't be cancelled. Some of the newsletter headings are hilarious and very desperate.

Small club, small minded. How very patronising of them. Perhaps all the little ladies that attend will get a blue rose for Valentine's day and a pat on the head.

They're usually trying to sell their tickets via radio ads.

It's only £95 (plus VAT) for ladies and you get to meet legends like Drunken McKenzie and Alan Whittle...
