I actually thought the commentators were quite kind to Crouch for once. They seemed to get very frustrated by the ref giving fouls against him all night, when quite clearly 75% of them weren't.

It's good for him that he's back in La Liga where he still has a bit to offer but he's still one of the biggest disappointments for me in the last couple of years.
I really expected him to deliver - he wasn't the new something, he was already Morientes - the CL top scorer but that just goes to show that nothing is guaranteed in life.

15 bloody goals in 18 games out there. The only period in his entire career he's been rubbish was when he came to us!!!!

Often the defender backs into Crouch after he's jumped, thereby making it look like he's leaned on.
