I've always liked Carlsberg as a sponsor.
Too much money involved in sport these days.On the Ning Nang Nong
Where the Cows go Bong!
And the Monkeys all say Boo!
There's a Nong Nang Ning
Where the trees go Ping!
And the tea pots Jibber Jabber Joo.
On the Nong Ning Nang
All the mice go Clang!
And you just can't catch 'em when they do!
So it's Ning Nang Nong!
Cows go Bong!
Nong Nang Ning!
Trees go Ping!
Nong Ning Nang!
The mice go clang!
What a noisy place to belong,
Is the Ning Nang Ning Nang Nong!!

Exactly. Ther are certain territories where we should be as big as anyone but this Carlsberg **** just stops people buying the products.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostThe booze thing isn't good though - it severely limits our marketing capabilities.
We have massive marketing potential, and I disagree with Rafa when he said we will not be as big as Madrid off the pitch. I think we already can match them for support around the globe."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

Another joke sponsorship deal
I'm not surprised.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Yeah, strange one that, we get far more TV coverage world wide than Spurs, and sell far more shirts, yet they still command a bigger sponsorship.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View Post
I'm annoyed about this, and also surprised the new pair have let it happen. To be getting less money than ****ing Spurs is criminal, never mind the millions we trail the vermin and Chelsea by.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

I do think there is some mileage in "right place, right time" for Spurs. If you remember Mansion were about to sign the deal with Scum, then last minute Scum backed out, leaving a large football sized hole in Mansions Marketing Plans - Enter the canny Spurs chaps.James Philip Milner Fanclub #1

I would hope that Gillett and Hicks would want to see what they could rustle up before committing to Carlsberg again. We really could do with a worldwide non-alcoholic sponsor so we can sell shirts in those countries where alcoholic or the advertising of same is not forbidden. Plus it would be nice if we could shake a bit more money out of that particular tree. No! I am NOT in denial!

Why don't we get some American company to advertise a non-alcoholic product on our shirts....what about Coors Lite?Just when I discovered the meaning of life, they changed it

Not being funny like , but all this takeover business has warped people's ****ing minds - we're football fans not business heads and everyone's getting moody about a sponsorship deal.
Yes , I realise that more money may equal better players , but I'm sure Rafa will get the backing regardless. This deal is for 3 years and will mean that the stadium will be ready for a joint sponsorship deal with the kits
I only give a **** about being better than Spurs , not richer than them , should we put our ticket prices up to £50+ a match so we can match them in that respect too?Last edited by PLY; 09-02-07, 02:14 PM."Man will never be free until the last king is strangled with the entrails of the last priest."
