To be honest I won't be that bothered if even the ticket prices go up slightly. Say 2 quid a ticket, gets us an extra 90k a game. If you assume 19 home league games and say 6 home cup games, thats an extra £2.25m a year for the club, and will you notice 2 quid every 2 weeks?

Thats a possibility obviously, and would be more of an issue, just saying that I wouldn't mind if they went up slightly, and that due to the multiplier effect, a slight price rise could still generate a fair bit of extra revenue for the club.Originally posted by Pacman View PostI think It will go up more than £2.00 maybe £5.00.
Gillett and Hicks aren't stupid, they'll know this and they'll want to avoid alienating the fans at all costs, look how careful they were to talk a lot about history/values etc in the press conference. I'd bet my bottom dollar they asked someone what they'd need to say to win the fans over, and said it, whether they meant it or not. Point is, they don't want to alienate the fans, so I doubt we'll see a big rise straight away, perhaps 2 quid this year, another quid next year etc.

What do you think the reaction would be if Liverpool vs Man Utd and Arsenal tickets in MB to ME and KM to KH (say) increased this season to £40? or £45?Quote of the year :

They wouldn't increase as they are the "old" parts of the stadium. MB / ME still have wooden seats ffS! I can see the Upper Kem and Upper Anny being put up. PLus the Kop season tickets are now in line with everyone else. Season tickets went up £50 last year across the board, PTS went up a fiver. That's £1,300,000 before they even start allowing the PTS folk to buy any match tickets. I think they will probably only go up to £35 for Cat A games and £33 for Cat B. Maybe £35 for Euro matches as well. Still well short of a lot of other teams in the Prem.Originally posted by disco View PostWhat do you think the reaction would be if Liverpool vs Man Utd and Arsenal tickets in MB to ME and KM to KH (say) increased this season to £40? or £45?I live with Steptoe.

It would be a shame if the prices went up too much as I like the fact it costs me about the same to go to Liverpool and see a game than going to London, and I only live about 30 mins away from London.Quit your jibber jabber!!!
Jermaine, you know the song Billie Jean...is it about the tennis player??
