any idea what this Martin fella is like from inter? never really seen him play....is he better than Dirk? should he be our number one priority?

watched this martins fellow a couple of times playing for Inter Milan, he is mostly used as a sub/backup at Inter. He is short but very quick and strong physically, u can try to imagine him as a better built Jermain Defoe. He has some skills but his finishing is average and erratic sometimes.

i havent seen much of Kuyt to be honest so cannot possibly compare between them two.
but i would be happy if we can sign martins for around or less than 5M, nothing more.

That was my impression too, sort of a cross between Cisse and Kanu with the limitations of each of them.

I think someone here compared Martins to our own Djibril Cisse and I think he has a point. A player with awesome pace but with 'limited' technical ability. Cisse apologists constantly talk about the Frenchman's decent goalscoring record but Martins does not even have that.

Given that Rafa does not rate Cisse, I highly doubt that Martins will be even considered...

I would prefer Martins, he looked a classs act when playin against arsenal at highbury.

Got plenty of pace,more skill than ciiisee althought finishing is erratic.

Whenever i have seen kuyt he has dissapointed but alot of people rate him sooo he may turn out to be good.

Spot on. His first touch is as bad as Cisse's. His finishing is a little better, but from a TEAM perspective he adds little more than pace. Give me Kuyt any day.
