By dropping him then i will play Gerrard in his role which means a little bit less venturing forward but still in front of momo.
Hopefully he will regain his sharpness soon.

It would just about work mind you - Sissoko a bit more of the holding role.

Sorry but however good Pennant plays Gerrard is still a better option. It is a difficult question to answer. For me 4-4-1-1 doesn't work but I cannot see a way to play SG, Pennant, Momo, Alonso in the same side and utilise their best qualities.

With Bellers not always staying in or around the box there is a danger in the 4-4-1-1 of everyone creating and no one to finish a move off. I really think Bellers needs another box striker.

i believe so too, we can do it this season!! com'on Liverpool.!!
we also need to nurture palletta and agger quickly to take over or lessen the burden of big Sami, he looks like he is carrying 20 kilos of bricks when he runs.

That is a REALLY good point. Despite Pennant's performance tonight, I still prefer Gerrard on the right with Gonzo/Kewell on the left leaving Bellamy to play up front with a target man (Crouchy, Kuyt). But at least Pennant's performance assure us of more "possibilities"...

I can't help thinking that Kuyt may have scored one or more of those Crouch headed chances.

I hope we bag the ginger one asap

It was a widely used criticism when we were talking of buying him and anyone wheeled out the 'top crosser in the premiership' stat.

Don't know who said it though.

I think it might be Ryan, and while I must confess to finding you a borderline obssessive bore 99% of the time, I feel I must also bring up Ryan's other hate targets so far:

                    Pennant & Gonzalez.

                    Ryan?

                    Helloooo?

                    Heh heh...

I wasn't thinking of Ryan, but there were plenty of people on Koptalk who did (and presumably half of them are here now )
